About Us

We don't pick the lineup. You do.

Founded in Shinjuku, Tokyo in 2022. A small founding team building the first virtual idol group whose members are elected by the people who'll cheer for them — not by an agency boardroom.

Our Story

Why We Built Paradigm AI

Taiyo Yoshida spent years building real-time media infrastructure for the Japanese entertainment industry. Backstage, you see the machinery clearly: a small group of scouts and executives decides which candidates to develop, which concept to back, which persona to market. By the time an idol group reaches their fanbase, every decision has already been made. Fans inherit the result. They don't shape it.

In 2022, working out of a shared office in Shinjuku, Taiyo started building the alternative. Not a talent agency — a participation engine. What if the group's lineup existed because thousands of fans voted for it? What if the vocal style, the visual concept, the stage persona were chosen by the community that would ultimately spend years defending that choice online?

Co-Founder and CTO Hana Miyamoto brought the technical half of the answer. Her background in generative audio synthesis and real-time character rendering made it possible to take a fan community's vote and produce a fully realized virtual idol — voice, visuals, performance — built around the character the community had chosen, not one handed down by a creative director.

AIdeal debuted as the proof. Three members confirmed through worldwide fan voting. A fourth election in progress. Paradigm AI does not select members, veto candidates, or override results. We build the platform and the performers. Fans build the group.

What We Believe

Three Values

Fan Agency

Fan agency is not a marketing promise here — it is the architecture. Who joins AIdeal, what concept they carry, what their debut single sounds like: these are decisions that live with the community, not with us. We hold ourselves to that boundary explicitly.

AI Artistry

Generative performance is only as good as what you put in. AIdeal's voice synthesis, character rendering, and stage choreography are built around each member's specific fan-voted concept — not a reusable template, not a generic voice model. The craft matters.

Open Stages

Traditional idol culture has geography built into its gatekeeping — you had to be in Japan, or consuming Japanese media, to matter. AIdeal elections are open to fans in every country from the first round. Fans in Manila and fans in Berlin vote on the same ballot.
